Installing Windows 7 on an Optiplex SX270

1. Load and install a normal installation of Windows 7 onto the computer.

2. Once installed go to Internet Explorer and go here:



Intel 82865G Graphics Controller

3. Download the driver and make sure to save, NOT run.

4. Locate your driver, right click on it, and click properties.

5. Go to the compatibility tab and check the box that says: Run this setup in compatibility mode.

6. Click on the drop-box and select Windows XP ( Service Pack 3 )

7. Click OK and run the installer.

8. Go through the steps of installing it and when asked restart your computer.

9. Be welcomed to your now native resolution system!
